This group includes visiting newspaper, school newspapers, and all other forms of print
coverage.
Each newspaper is entitled to one (1) working press pass and each college newspaper, if the
college has a team in the tournament, is entitled to one (1) working press pass.
Proper identification as a working member of the organization must be presented
before a pass will be issued.
Seat assignments for one seat will be made by the News Media Chairman to the press table
located on the floor of the Arena. These assignments will be posted daily at the
Tournament Information Center, the director's table, the press table, and the press
room.
Seats at the press table shall be vacated immediately after the visiting writer's report has
been completed.
There will be a news media room for your use.  There will be telephones and fax
machines available for filing stories.
Policy for Photographers & VCR Users (See General Media Guide above)
This policy applies only to those photographers required to receive credentials from the
News Media Chairman.
Each newspaper or college newspaper, if the college has a team in the tournament, is
entitled to one (1) working photographer's pass.
Photographers and VCR users may take pictures or videos from the Arena playing floor
only when wearing a photographers arm band.   These arm bands are issued at the
Tournament Director's desk for each session and are to be returned at the end of each
session.   Arm bands will be available to school photographers for those games in
which the school has a participating team.
Except for permanently mounted strobe lights in the Sports Arena, no photographer shall
use a flash or strobe light from the Arena floor or the bleacher section during the play of
the game or the shooting of freethrows.   A flash or strobe light may be used from
the end of the Arena floor that is opposite the play of the game.
Colleges wishing to videotape their games may do so by paying the $25.00 fee in advance
of the playing of the game.   Colleges may videotape only games in which their team is
participating.   No videotaping shall be done in areas designated by the American
Legion Basketball Committee.
Commercial photographers taking still shots of the game action and offering them for sale
shall pay a fee of $25.00 for the right to do so.
